Sweet Homeless Cat Hugs Tearful Jessica Before She Learns Why She Can’t Adopt Him

Jessica went to visit a local adoption center, in search of a new furry companion.

And there she found an unbelievably affectionate cat that just loved to hug and cuddle. So much so that he wouldn’t let Jessica go!

How could anyone resist such an adorable gesture?

Unfortunately, Jessica and her fiance already had a 19-year-old cat at home, who was very needy, and they knew another needy kitty wouldn’t fit in.

They also learned a few other sad tidbits about the cat Jessica wanted to call “Clutch.” As the couple explained on Facebook:

We have a 19 year old cat who constantly strives for love and affection and would probably get very depressed and die if we brought another animal home…

…and I can’t risk losing my current cat just yet. We also have a toddler. We were told by the store that he isn’t good with other animals or children.

So, that’s the reason why we couldn’t take him unfortunately.

Life really can get in the way, can’t it?

But wait, there’s good news:

He has found a home as of today though and will be going home to a loving family…

There you go! A happy ending after all, even if the cat didn’t go home with the young woman he “clutched” with all his might! 🙂
