She Peeks Out Window, Spots Neighbor’s Suffering Dog, Frantically Runs For The Phone

It has been a pretty brutal winter for much of the country already, and it’s far from over.

Frigid temps, snowstorms, biting winds, and downright nasty conditions will lead many to hunker down inside until conditions improve.

But not every creature has such a luxury.

The impacts of the weather on stray animals is alarming enough in and of itself, but it’s downright stomach-churning to consider the impacts on animals with cruel and irresponsible owners.

A woman in Michigan recently came across one of those situations but thankfully, she did something about it.

The concerned woman looked outside and saw that her neighbors had left their dog chained up outside in the middle of a terrible snowstorm!

The dog was in pretty rough shape and obviously in need of some assistance. So, the woman quickly ran for the phone and called the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue.

When they arrived, the dog’s owner put up a bit of a fuss: amazingly, they had another dog inside of the home that they were still caring for.

Their reason for leaving the other dog out in such dreadful conditions?

They simply didn’t want to care for it anymore…as if that’s any reason to do such a thing!

The rescue crew gladly took the pooch off of their hands, though.

They would name the doggie Blizzard, and she was incredibly grateful when the kind rescuers scooped her up and got her the help she so desperately needed.

Blizzard needed some medical attention on her swollen and frostbitten paws, but she’s on the road to making a full recovery now that she’s being properly cared for.

She’s even been accepted into foster care with two other rescue dogs, and she looks to be awfully happy with her new surroundings!

Thankfully, this tale has a happy ending – but there’s no way that happens without the kind neighbor jumping into action to prevent a bad situation from getting even worse.

Hats off to the neighbor for doing the right thing!

We’re going to go out on a limb and assume that Blizzard will be much better off in her new foster home.

And then one day, we’re certain she’ll be truly happy in her forever home! 😀
