Not Knowing How The Scared, Abused Pup Would React, Stephanie Inched Slowly Closer

When two Miami residents spotted a scared, starving dog chained to a tree behind an abandoned house, they knew they had to make things right.

Alex and Stephanie figured the poor pooch was frightened but they also knew he was starving, and they wanted to help immediately.

So, armed with food and water, Stephanie crept closer to the nervous pup (who they would eventually name Ganesh). Would Ganesh respond…?

At first, he was understandably afraid. But his hunger soon took over and he began to gobble up every piece of food Stephanie put down.

After a while longer, during which time Stephanie and Alex made it plain they weren’t going to hurt the dog, Ganesh started to warm up.

But he still needed a bath; he was filthy and covered in bugs and dirt from having been outside for so long.

So, they quickly took him inside and cleaned him up. It was a lengthy process but boy, Ganesh sure was grateful!

You might think that at this point, the couple had done their good deed and they’d call the shelter. But no, they weren’t going to let that happen.

They took Ganesh in and thanks to kind donations from people who heard this story, they were able to take the dog to a vet. There he received the treatment he required.

Alex and Stephanie just refused to let him go until they were 100% certain he was in good hands, and he’d eventually find a forever home.

THAT’S what good people do when they see an animal suffering! 😀
