Can’t we all just get along?

That sentiment has been expressed since the beginning of time, but having that wish fulfilled can be unnecessarily difficult at times.

Wouldn’t it be great if things were simpler and we didn’t have to worry about such things?

It really can be a whole lot easier, and we need to look no further than this awesome viral video for confirmation.

Surveillance footage from Canada shows what happened when a sly Red Fox crossed paths with a beautiful Snowy Owl on the streets in the dead of the night.

It’s true that nothing good happens when you’re out and about in the middle of the night, but there are exceptions to every rule…

After all, we have two notorious predators that will do whatever they have to do to protect their turf, right?

And it looks like that’s what’s about to happen when the video kicks off. The fox is simply making his way around town when the owl suddenly swoops in.

A bit of a staredown ensues, and it looks like things are about to get real…

Then the owl flies away, so it looks like the beef was settled before things got physical. But wait just a moment.

As the fox gets back to business, the owl swoops in again.

The scene repeats itself, and the fox finally decides to head on over to the owl to see what’s up.

Incredibly enough, the pair seems to hit it off, and it looks like they spent some time exchanging war stories.

Eventually, the fox remembers that he’s late for an appointment and makes his way down the road.

The owl stays in place and watches as his new friend disappear into the night.

No word on whether or not they made plans to get together again soon, but we’re going to take this as another sign that we can all get along if we just extend the effort to make it happen.

And really, it’s quite the fascinating and unexpected encounter!
