They don’t know it but at the very last moment, when it seems all hope is lost, that animal’s angel arrives out of nowhere … and saves its life.

That’s exactly what happened with Tiny, an adorable little chihuahua that was probably only minutes away from freezing to death.

He was abandoned in a dark, dirty towel in a park in London, and temperatures were falling fast. This is where Tiny needed a miracle!

Unbelievably enough, a Good Samaritan spotted the towel because it actually appeared to be moving…

And on closer inspection, out popped Tiny, shivering and terrified!

The kind-hearted person knew the pup didn’t have much time, so this compassionate individual rushed him to Mayhew, a local animal shelter.

Said Mayhew animal welfare officer AJ Ford:

“Poor Tiny was wrapped up in a towel and looked terrified. He was seen by our experienced vet team straight away.”

Tiny needed all the help he could get, too! The poor pup had both worms and fleas in addition to borderline hypothermia, so the vets set right to work.

But as the minutes ticked away and Tiny began to recover, the staff breathed a sigh of relief: despite some hydration issues, it seemed Tiny was out of the woods!

Said Mayhew veterinarian Emily Richardson:

“When Tiny first arrived he was dehydrated and very nervous.

We monitored him throughout the night, but thankfully he had no health problems that were of concern.”

But wait, the story gets even better…

One of Mayhew’s staff members – the receptionist, Melissa – fell in love with Tiny. She absolutely couldn’t let him go, and decided she just had to adopt him.

“Tiny is such a gorgeous boy and I fell in love with him instantly.

What he may lack in size, he certainly makes up for in character and has had us all laughing with his antics from the moment we brought him home.”

Melissa added that Tiny “adores cuddles and loves nothing more than curling up with you for a snooze.”

That makes sense, considering the little pup is probably soaking up all the love and attention he can get!

And all because of the nameless angel who found him, shivering to death in a towel. Such angels really do exist!

And occasionally, a lot of miraculous packages can come out of one little mama pup.

Coco the Chihuahua was obviously very pregnant and on the verge of delivering some puppies. Owners Dawn and Bill Slater were plenty happy about the situation.

The animal-loving couple have other Chihuahuas, along with a collie terrier and a few cats. They couldn’t wait to add to their family!

But they wanted to make sure Coco’s pregnancy was moving along well, so they took her to the vet for a routine exam.

That’s when the doctor said Dawn and Bill should expect Coco to deliver five pups, and that the mother was in very good health.

Five pups! That sure seemed like plenty, so the owners went home happy and waited for the mom-to-be to start her painful but wonderful delivery.

Well, it began soon but after the fifth puppy came out, the owners realized the vet had been wrong … Coco wasn’t going to give birth to just five babies.

No, a sixth was definitely on the way. And amazingly enough, Coco just didn’t stop. As Bill told MailOnline:

“When we got to the ninth pup he wasn’t well, his bag had burst and we were trying to revive him.

We thought to ourselves, this is just impossible, when on earth is it going to stop, when the tenth came out.”

Ten puppies?! That really doesn’t seem possible, does it?

The biggest concern Dawn and Bill had was that such a difficult birth might give rise to complications. After all, ten babies could prove dangerous for any dog…

But thankfully, Coco seemed to come through the ordeal all right, and each of the ten pups appeared to be in excellent condition.

The new owners then set out to find homes for some of the babies, because they couldn’t possibly care for all ten!

Coco’s amazing feat is now registered in the Guinness Book of World Records, too! The record litter for dogs is 24, but Coco tops the Chihuahua list with 10.

That’s one tired mommy!
