“That’s when I thought, ‘Oh Christ, this dog can’t walk!’” Milhet said. “I thought she was injured or run over.”

For whatever reason, all four of the dog’s legs appeared to be twisted, and she was using her elbows to support her weight.

The elbows were scabbed and bloodied and obviously, the poor pup spent a lot of its time on his belly. Added Georgina:

“I have seen things that are beyond, but I have never seen anything like this.

Her paws looked like bags they were so bruised, and her nails were so ingrown that they grew backwards into the paws.”

However, throughout the whole ordeal, the dog’s tail continued to wag.

So, Georgina contacted GTS Husky Rescue, and they moved in to help. The team got him to a vet for some X-rays and the results were absolutely stunning, as GTS director Natalie Lucia said:

“She has major deformities of her legs, and there are different possibilities for how that could have happened.

We have been told that it may have been a result of her being kept in a cage, it could have been caused by bad injuries that she was never treated for…

…and there’s always the possibility that she could have been born that way.”

Sadly, the dog – now named Lucky – is not a surgical candidate because she would need “too many surgeries.”

But that won’t stop her!

Lucky is going to get specially-made prosthetics for her unique way of walking, and that at least should grant her more mobility.

And yes, she’ll have a fur-ever home to enjoy as well. All because one woman was kind enough to save her from a terrible situation!
