That’s the day his then-girlfriend, Heather Lindsay, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Mosher was determined to make sure she knew that she wouldn’t be facing the battle on her own.

The diagnosis spurred him to do something that he had been wanting to do for a long time…and when he did it, he made Lindsay’s final wish come true.

The couple had met at a dance class earlier that year, and they were as thick as thieves ever since. It was clear to everyone they were meant to be together.

Lindsay’s illness brought them closer together, but that unfortunately wouldn’t lead to her fortunes improving.

Lindsay’s health declined substantially, and she wound up in the hospital this year. There was simply nothing else that doctors could do for her.

Tragically, she was going to die, but there was one thing she wanted to make happen before that came to pass: she wanted to become Mosher’s wife.

The couple would get married – right there in the hospital. Lindsay was too ill to get out of bed, but she was still able to achieve her dream.

Bridesmaid Christina Karas was there, and she recalls the joy that her friend experienced for those few moments.

“She’s getting to shout from the rooftops that she loves Dave and is able to say, ‘I’m his wife,’” Karas told TV station WFSB.

“It reminds me of someone who is crossing the finish line of a marathon or something,” Mosher, 35, said of the photo.

Sadly, Lindsay would pass away just hours after saying ‘I do’ to the love of her life.

Photos of the happy bride have captured a ton of attention on social media, and it’s easy to see why.

It’s quite obvious to anyone who sees them that the couple is truly in love, and that just makes this story all the more heartbreaking.

Sometimes, we have to lose those we love but if we did something to enrich and improve their lives, we can take solace in one fact:

Before they left us, they knew just how important they were to us. And maybe that’s something you CAN take with you…

But there are some folks who really kick things up a notch when it comes to making the Christmas magic happen!

No, we’re not talking about those who strap themselves to the gills to make sure the latest high-falutin gadget is underneath the tree.

While it’s always nice to make sure our loved ones get the gifts on their wish-lists, there’s a lot to be said for dropping random acts of kindness on strangers.

Nothing says Christmas magic like completely unexpected spreadings of good tidings and cheer, and the looks on the faces of those on the receiving end are priceless.

An amazing example of that recently took place at the Brief Encounter restaurant in Bellevue, Washington.

A frequent customer of the establishment did something amazing for the staff, and he didn’t even make a big hullabaloo about things.

He simply dropped a note of thanks – and a whole lot more.

“You guys do a great job! When I was 7, I washed dishes and my mom cooked in a diner like this.

We were dirt poor and didn’t have money for Christmas.

Hopefully, this will help all of you have a better Christmas,” the customer wrote.

And that wasn’t all. Staffers were stunned when they saw what came with the note…

The man, Dwayne Clark, CEO of an assisted living community named Aegis Living, had tipped the staff a whopping $3,000 on a $39 check!

He wanted it to be spread equally amongst those that work at the restaurant, and each of the employees has received an unexpected windfall of $250, just in time for the holidays.

So what inspired Clark to do something so amazing? It’s actually rather simple.

“I saw how hard my mom worked for people who weren’t always appreciative,” Clark said.

He’s hoping that his kind act inspires even more people to give back this holiday season, though of course not everyone has such deep pockets:

“You don’t have to give money. You can write appreciative notes and say thank you,” he said of wanting to inspire a tipping movement this holiday season.

“It would go a long way to nourish all of us.“

That’s an outstanding sentiment from Clark, and he just so happens to be right on the money…no pun intended.

The little things can make a gigantic difference, and it’s important to remember in the midst of all the hustle and bustle around the holidays.

Kind acts, expressions of gratitude, and even a simple smile can go a long way towards ensuring the season is bright for each and every one of us!
