Usually, both parents work, and sometimes they work different shifts and take care of the kids while the other one is at work.

Rujeana and her husband have two kids and she often wondered just what her husband did while she was gone at work…

This sparked an idea that ended up showing her what an amazing dad he truly is!

Thinking that she would place a hidden camera to catch him snoozing while the kids got into everything, she was shocked to see him having an absolute blast with the children.

And of course, he had no idea he was being filmed which made this video even more adorable.

One day, the kids were dancing around in the living room shaking pom-pom’s, just doing normal kid stuff, when Dad enters the room.

Dad, with a laundry basket under his arm, put it down and started dancing with his daughter.

The song, ‘Supernatural’ by Katy Perry must be his jam.

He showed off all of his fancy footwork before ending with an epic diva pose.

These are lucky kids to have such a fun, hands-on dad.

Laura Gerson was dealing with one of those perplexing situations that new parents are all too familiar with:

How do we get our little angel to sleep through the night without constantly waking up?

Her baby girl Amelia was always waking up during the night, and she was determined to do whatever she could to help her child get more peaceful rest.

Laura finally put two and two together as to what the problem was, and she came up with a rather ingenious solution.  

She would proudly share what she came up with in a post on social media.

“Weird bedtime routine that’s worked… Lol

Since my little one was about 3 months old she’s gone to bed with roughly 10 dummies in with her.

Found that when she cried of a night all she wanted was a dummy then she’d go back off.

Realised that if she had one to hand then she would just find it of a night, trial and error with her losing a few down the side but 99% of the time she feels around, finds a dummy, sticks it in and she’s sorted!

Haven’t had to go into her of a night for about 8 months now… WINNING!!

I don’t even wanna think about the time when the “Dummy Fairy” comes to take them away tho…

It seems to be working like a charm, so hats off to mom for finally getting to the bottom of things.

And frustrated parents everywhere just learned a new “Raising Baby Hack” that could result in a LOT more restful nights…for everyone!

Well, there are some parents who think this trick doesn’t work, or simply don’t like the idea of pacifiers. Can’t please everyone, of course.

As for little Amelia, though, she’s going to have little trouble sleeping through the night anymore, and that’s a welcome relief for Laura.

We have a sneaky suspicion she’ll be benefiting from some extra rest moving forward as well.

Simple ideas like this really need to start circulating, because new parents need all the help they can get.

Come on, admit it…this parenthood thing isn’t especially easy, is it?

But when something far more valuable is stolen along with it, it’s downright heartbreaking.

Property is one thing but mementos are quite another; when those disappear, it’s like a piece of you dies, and it’s a terrible feeling.

Thieves don’t care what you’re feeling of course, but one thief couldn’t possibly have known that he was stealing a woman’s son when he stole an SUV out of a driveway last week.

That SUV belonged to Shelly Brown and when she got up the next morning to find the car gone, she was in tears…and not because she loved the car.

No, she loved – and will always love – what was in that car, because it’s completely and entirely irreplaceable.

As it turns out, Shelly keeps what remains of her son with her at all times: A tiny vial of her departed son’s ashes hangs from the rearview mirror, and that of course disappeared along with the SUV.

She contacted the police but didn’t expect any results, so of course Shelly was miserable.

But then, something happened…call it karma, call it a miracle, call it luck, but it was just plain amazing.

The Del City, Oklahoma mother spotted a vehicle that looked exactly like her stolen SUV driving past her on the streets, and her instincts told her to follow it.

She tailed it to a parking lot not far away and when the driver had left the vehicle, Shelly approached and was shocked to find that yes, it WAS the stolen car.

There had been some damage done to the steering wheel but otherwise, everything was there – including her beloved son’s ashes.

Unfortunately, police haven’t identified the thief (who likely fled when he saw Shelly by the SUV) but the point is, her son has been returned to her.

There are times when you just have to throw up your hands and say, “That’s just a once-in-a-lifetime thing!” And maybe it is; what were the chances of Shelly ever seeing that SUV again?

After all, pieces of you are falling out of your head and you’d think each piece would be worth more than a quarter or fifty cents.

When I was a kid, a quarter was all I’d get and even though twenty-five cents meant a lot more back then, it still felt a little low. The compensation just seemed a little off, in my young eyes.

I remember asking my parents if I could keep growing and losing new teeth over and over, and if the bigger ones might be worth MORE. I wouldn’t even have to work!

They thought that was a funny idea but of course, not quite plausible. And they also laughed at the idea of more money for each tiny tooth, so I was out of luck.

But I never got a letter from the tooth fairy, formally addressing my request for a salary increase.

That’s what happened to this little boy and the ensuing picture is just exploding all over the internet…because it’s just so damn hilarious. He wasn’t happy with $1 for his tooth; he wanted $5.

So, the fairy replied and here’s the ensuing Reddit post:

The start of the letter is fantastic:

“My name is Dee Kay. My associate Tooth Fairy told me about your letter and I have been assigned to your case, #092208-5.”

Dee Kay (the Director of the Department of Dental Disturbance) then explains that although the boy’s full request cannot be fulfilled, they can give him a $1 increase per lost tooth if the tooth in question is cavity free.

C’mon, that’s not a bad deal at all!

Of course, there’s a flip side that coin: If the tooth DOES have a cavity, that results in a fee:

“Our CTO (central tooth officer) S. Cary Gums would shut down the DDD (Department of Dental Disturbance) if we even attempted to bring a CFT [cavity filled tooth] back, and that would mean no TPO’s [tooth pay outs] for children anywhere.

I know you wouldn’t want to be the cause of that.”

See now, this makes perfect sense. It’s funny but hey, great incentive to brush your teeth and not stuff yourself with candy.

Talk about genius.
