Maggie is an adorable little Shih Tzu-Chihuahua mix and she likes to wake up her owners when they’re sleeping.

She particularly enjoys waking up her dad, who loves to see Maggie’s shining personality first thing in the morning. As he told The Dodo:

After all, should we really punish an adorable furry thief that simply steals a loaf of bread?

That’s what happened at a supermarket in Brazil: one day, there was a brazen robbery.

A sneaky four-legged friend slipped in the front entrance of the store, and then began to plot out his dastardly plan.

He waited for just the right moment and then, he snagged the bread and ran for the door!

It happened quickly and employees only spotted a furry flash out the corners of their eyes.

So, they checked the security camera and then they were able to identify the bread-snatcher…

It was a cute little pup!

Yes, Ozzy the cat loves fuzzy, ripe peaches. He just can’t get enough of them, and he actually uses them in multiple ways.

They’re responsible and loving parents, and always make sure that Chloe is safe and sound when they put her to bed.

Then suddenly, Chloe was found outside her crib one night.

Somehow, she’d managed to get out of her crib and wander around while her parents slept! But how had it happened?

Well, after it happened a few more times, Chris and Nina decided to install a baby camera to see what was going on…

And all it took was one night to get the evidence they needed!

As it turns out, their two playful golden retrievers kept coming into Chloe’s bedroom after lights-out, and waking her up.

They’d cavort about, Chloe would open her eyes, and the next thing you know, she’s following the mischievous pooches out of bed!

The late-night shenanigans had to stop, of course, because the baby needs her rest.

Even so, Chris and Nina had to laugh when they found out how and why Chloe was escaping her crib at night … who can resist two furry friends?

When he’s outside in the yard, he chases them up trees and barks like mad. It is HIS yard, after all!

His little legs just won’t carry him fast enough, though, so he’s never had the pleasure of catching one of the yard rodents.

“He tries to catch them, but he’s quite small and has never been successful,” his owner, Lainey said.

Now, one squirrel has decided to take revenge against Buddy for chasing him day in and day out, and there’s absolutely nothing he can do about it.

The squirrel doesn’t just bark at him from the treetops. He takes the feud to a whole new height by taking a hostage!

Buddy made the mistake of leaving his favorite toy outdoors, and the squirrel took notice right away.

Seeing Buddy’s toy left unattended, he quickly snatched it up, knowing it was going to break Buddy’s heart.

He claimed the toy as his own and disappeared.

The thief unfortunately made his getaway before Buddy could get to him.

He scrambled up a tree and took the blue toy to his nest, and poor Buddy was just beside himself!

Buddy’s family mourned along with him.

“Woke up to horrible news that my dog’s favorite toy has been kidnapped by a squirrel and is being held captive in a tree,” Lainey said.

It was a hard day for Buddy, but he tried to keep his head up and a smile on his face.

So the ball is in Buddy’s court now. Will he chase the squirrels with more vigor and gusto because of his newfound hate over his toy?

Or will the squirrel use the toy for a peace offering to end the backyard feud?

Only time will tell…

We hear terrifying stories of thieves using someone else’s social security number to get tax refunds, credit cards, and even unemployment benefits.

Michael Haddock, an attorney in Saugatuck, Michigan, who was well aware of these identity theft cases, had gone to great measures to make sure it never happens to him…

But it still did. Well, sort of.

One day, Michael was at his office and checking the mail when he noticed a letter from the State of Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency.

Confused, he grabbed his letter opener and opened the envelope.

That’s when he realized he’d been scammed…by his dog, Ryder! (He does look guilty!)

“I got a letter from the UIA on Saturday, my name is Michael, my dog is Ryder.

I was surprised to see it, but I had a good laugh, actually.”

Apparently, Ryder was awarded unemployment benefits because he was laid off from his job at a local seafood restaurant, and he was to receive $360 per week.

“I knew he [Ryder] was clever, but he surprised me on this one,” Michael added.

Michael reported the error to the benefits office fearing there may really be a Michael Ryder out there in need of his benefits, and also to his knowledge, Ryder had not worked in a seafood restaurant.

It looks like Ryder will have to depend on Michael for his treats and toys instead of indulging himself with the $360 per week unemployment check, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Ryder gets plenty spoiled without it.

Meghan Specksgoor was going to be traveling during the holidays and really didn’t want to put her beloved dog, Chance, in a kennel for an entire week.

She thought she had no choice until she mentioned it to her dad. He said that he’d be happy to dog-sit Chance, so she took him up on his offer.

He promised to send her updates on how her pup was doing while she was away, and that made her feel even more comfortable, but she had no idea that the updates were going to melt her heart!

Meghan shared some of the adorable updates on Twitter:

They apparently figured it out, because a little later this one came in…

Shortly after, Chance checked in again sitting in the park with his cup of ice cream and a message that (just maybe) Grandpa put him up to saying.

Grandpa has since become a legend, and his texts have gone viral.

They’re like furry prospectors and when they find something, boy are they proud!

Of course, owners aren’t always enthusiastic when a dog delivers his “treasures.” Dead animals and trash aren’t treasure, after all.

But every now and then, a dog will dig up something that evokes a very different reaction…for instance, laughter.

Pandora is one of those active canines that enjoys digging things up and bringing them to their master.

But when Lucas saw what Pandora brought him one afternoon, he just couldn’t stop cracking up; he never expected to see this in a million years!

Pandora had found something in her little expedition and she had it in her mouth. At first, Lucas couldn’t tell what it was:

“I couldn’t see what it was, so I called her in,” Lucas said.

“When I lifted her head, I almost died from laughing.”

It was a pair of old dentures and it seemed to fit perfectly in the dog’s mouth!

Lucas thinks the dentures belonged to the previous owners of the property, as they were an elderly couple.

“They may have changed their dentures and buried this one in the backyard.

There’s no other explanation, because I know it’s not ours,” he says.

Before tossing the dentures away, Lucas snapped several pictures of Pandora sporting her new-found treasure, and the internet just loves this artificially smiling pooch!

But when Pandora lost her prize, she really looked disappointed.

Maybe it’s time to head back out into the garden and see if she can find something even more hilarious…and maybe she’ll be able to keep it!

Case in point:

Hannah Murphy was dining with her mom at a lovely outdoor patio bistro when her mom started giggling.

Not the giggle and stop scenario, but all-out giggling like a child who discovered something hilarious in her universe.

Murphy was perplexed as her mom explained between the giggling.

“Take a look at that adorable dachshund,” Murphy’s mom explained as she pointed across the patio.

Her mom pointed at a brown object scrunched against the leg of a chair where a woman sat at a nearby table.

Murphy eyed the “cute” thing, and suddenly burst into laughter.

Not because the “dog” was cute, but because her mom was so gleefully mistaken.
