Every Time This Kitten Takes A Nap, He Curls Up With A Very Unlikely Friend

Best friends come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes they come in different species as well.

One of the strangest we’ve heard of occurred in Japan.

When a little Scottish fold kitten ended up Hukulou Coffee Shop in Osaka, Japan it wasn’t exactly front page news.

The unique coffee shop already had a herd of cats, several owls, a Shiba dog, bearded dragon, snake and a hedgehog. Oh, and a bunny and a ferret.

Owls come and go at Hukulou, so often that the theme and logo of the coffee house has become an owl. One of the favorite owls is a little owlet named Fuku.

They specialize in sharing pets with people who can’t have them in their home, or are away from home and missing their own pets.

What happened to the kitten next was cause not only for a few headlines, but a whole lot of awwwwwwws.

As soon as little Marimo entered the coffee house, she was drawn toward Fuku.

A lot of people read while they drink coffee…perhaps someone read him the old children’s tale of the owl and the pussycat?

Whatever happened, Fuku suddenly decided that Marimo was ok. And he began to sidle a little closer and closer to her.

Marimo decided to play and it took a few seconds for Fuku to realize it was playful and not in predator mode.

He quickly relaxed and before anyone could believe it…they were besties for life!

Owls and cats get adopted out of the coffee house sometimes, but the owner says that these two aren’t going anywhere unless they go together.

Now, where you find one, you find the other.

They have a little bit of issue with the fact that one of the species is definitely a, well, a night owl and the other is a morning cat.

They’ve learned to give each other space while they are napping. Unless they can find a time to nap together.

That’s the best time of all!

This is definitely a “package deal”…a two for one special. Bonds this strong should be nurtured for life!

No matter what trouble Marimo gets into, like falling asleep in the sink, he awakens to find Fuku right beside him.

Or even on top of him. Giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “I’ve got your back, kid!”

This cute couple has become a huge draw for the coffee house.

They seem to be soaking up the attention. So long as they are together, they don’t really care where they are.

Best wishes guys, and congratulations on finding each other! There’s nothing like a bestie to help you through life!
