Tiny Adorable Poodle Pup Almost Got Put Down, All Because Of One Sad Deformity

Little Nala Rose was just a few weeks old, and she was already close to death.

Why? Because this adorable poodle pup had been born with an abnormality, and Nala’s owner was considering putting her down.

The owner was a breeder and she knew that puppies with any deficiencies or other physical difficulties simply weren’t worth as much to customers.

Most breeders can sell small-breed pups for upwards of $1,000, but poor Nala wasn’t going to fetch such an exorbitant sum.

On top of which, Nala’s quality of life was in serious question. And so, the breeder and her wife had to make a difficult decision…

Should they end Nala’s life before it even really begins? Would it be better for her?

The problem was that the adorable pooch was born with eyelids, but no eyes. And it was such a tragic turn of events, as St. Louis Senior Dog Project volunteer Joan Wiegers remembers:
