Stray Pups Wriggle Into A Dangerous Hiding Place – They Freeze In Fear As Rescuers Approach

A mamma dog gave birth to her puppies in an extremely hazardous area, and rescuers had to get them out … fast.

The new mother and her pups were trapped in an industrial section of Los Angeles, and in a very dangerous party of town.

The area in question was covered in pipes and other debris, and there was junk littered everywhere. It was no place to raise a new furry family!

Hope for Paws raced to the scene and though they were able to spot the mamma dog and her new puppies, they realized the rescue was going to be extremely challenging.

They started by throwing the dogs some food but that didn’t work. Mamma wasn’t about to leave her babies’ side!

So, rescuers Loreta Frankonyte and Eldad Hagar set to work trying to trap the mother, who they quickly named Mopsy.

Once the mother was safely escorted away, they could focus on the pups. The idea was that the pups would want to stay near mom, no matter where she was.

Well, the idea sort of worked.

They finally tracked down Mopsy (after quite the chase) but as soon as that happened, the puppies ran and hid. And they chose a terrible hiding spot…

Under a bunch of loosely-stacked PVC pipes in the fenced-off area! Specifically, they had wriggled under a bunch of crates, which were all piled underneath the pipes.

It was a sticky situation, that’s for sure!

This was bound to make everything more difficult but Loreta and Eldad weren’t going to quit. They first had to spot the puppies hiding in the crates…

Once they could pinpoint the location of each pup, they were able to get close enough. And that’s when they made their move!

After a tense rescue, the rescuers were able to safely extract Juniper, Figaro, and Jiminy, and reunite them with Mopsy, the mother.

All told, it took Loreta and Eldad a whopping 6 hours to perform this tedious rescue!

Well, everyone needed a nice long rest after that day. And when it was all over, and the pups had gotten all cleaned up, they began waiting for their forever homes.

Amazingly, Figaro had a home within just a few days, and there’s a good chance mamma and the other two pups will get lucky as well!

These are some seriously dedicated rescuers, right? 😉
