Poor Blind Poly Was Left Cowering On A Park Bench And When You Hear Why, You’ll Scream

It’s just incomprehensible how some humans treat our furry friends.

Most normal people can’t stand to see an animal in distress and yet, rescue teams find homeless, injured animals everywhere.

Here’s the case of Poly, the poor blind pitbull found abandoned in a California park.

Santa Barbara County Animal Services found her there, cowering and petrified, seemingly unwilling to leave the bench.

Nobody knows how long the suffering pooch had been sitting there, but it was obvious she was in immediate need of some TLC.

The team quickly brought her in, named her Poly, and took her to be examined by a vet.

As it turns out, Poly had a heart condition and a minor skin infection, which could be the reason her former owners simply left her somewhere to die.

Tragically, the doctor also found that Poly had recently given birth, but the babies were nowhere to be found. Had the owners kept the puppies and ditched the mother…?

Unfortunately, there’s just no way they’ll ever know. But they could continue to focus on Poly.

She was taken to Foreverhome Pet Rescue in Los Angeles, who quickly went to work finding a loving, respectable foster home for the recovering dog.

Thankfully, it didn’t take long!

Now, Poly is with her new foster family and is doing very well, both physically and mentally. And since her ordeal, Poly has become something of an internet sensation…

If you want, you can visit her Facebook profile, which is filled with pics of her (and other rescued dogs); a real haven for pup lovers!

Who knows how long Poly would’ve languished in the park had the team not acted?

Sure, she’s blind and she may never find her pups, but she still has a lot to live for. Who wouldn’t love a face like this? 😉
