You’ve Always Wanted A Cat That Stays A Kitten Forever. Wish Granted!

Sometimes the quirks and games Mother Nature plays create some interesting effects.

Occasionally, some of those deformities are found so pleasing by the pet-buying public that breeders purposely breed animals that have certain genetic traits.

One of those animals that have become desired because of their genetic fault are  “fainting goats.”

A genetic neurological problem causes them to be unable to move when they are frightened by a loud noise or unexpected sight.

Then on the super cute side: Munchkin cats.

Munchkin cats are another breed that was created from two cats sharing the same deforming genetic defect. Their legs are very short, much like the Dachshund dog.

This gives them the appearance of never growing up; even the oldest Munchkin looks like a baby kitten! 😀

They come in an amazing array of colors, with just one thing in common. They are all absolutely adorable.

“I know I look like a baby, but I’m really fully growed up!”

“Shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your booty!”

“I’m not asleep. I’m ignoring you. Unless you want me to something. Then I’m asleep. Really.”

“Seriously, don’t try to rub my belly. I will eat you. I am fierce. I am mighty. Seriously. Stop that!”

“Man, this is the last time I’m playing Twister with a Great Dane! I feel like a pretzel.”

“Hey! Who you callin’ Shorty?”

“When my legs get just a little longer, this steam won’t have a chance!”

“Oh Nooooooo! I can’t reach my itchy spot! Can you help, please?” 

“What do you mean I won’t get any taller? Ever?”

“Which way to the Dachshund show? Get it? Dachshund? Weiner dog? Snicker. I crack me up.” 

This little guy is ready for some “Risky Business.” He just needs some tighty whities to complete the scene.

“I sleep with my eyes wide open. I’m too cute to miss anything.” 

“Doing yoga with mom. She does downward facing dog, I do upward facing cat. Wait. Is that a bird?” 

“OK. Me and my buddy here both have short legs, so it must be mama who is different!”

“Here we are at the dog show. And I am a Collie. I am a tall and beautiful Collie. Srsly.” 

“Sometimes the sheer joy of being a cat makes my head spin.” 

“Son when I was a kitten, I had to walk five miles through the snow every day to get my kibble. And it was uphill both ways.” 

Anybody ready for a boxing match? 

“See if I had stupid long legs, I wouldn’t fit here. Don’t you wish you had perfect short legs like mine?” 

“Meow. Really. When you’re this cute you don’t have to talk.” 

:”Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful…”

All Munchkins are obviously quite photogenic! But some Munchkins have their own fan clubs.

Like this handsome guy named Albert. What a rock star!

Oh the price of celebrity. Yeah, you get cool bikes and warm jammies, but sometimes your mama dresses you funny.

Just because she can.
