Clever Dad Figures Out How To Turn Daughter’s Pooch Into An Internet Superstar

After their kids are grown, all parents look forward to having grandchildren.

Some can be pushy about it, some are quiet, and then some drop hints – like this dad.

Meghan Specksgoor was going to be traveling during the holidays and really didn’t want to put her beloved dog, Chance, in a kennel for an entire week.

She thought she had no choice until she mentioned it to her dad. He said that he’d be happy to dog-sit Chance, so she took him up on his offer.

He promised to send her updates on how her pup was doing while she was away, and that made her feel even more comfortable, but she had no idea that the updates were going to melt her heart!

Meghan shared some of the adorable updates on Twitter:

They apparently figured it out, because a little later this one came in…

Shortly after, Chance checked in again sitting in the park with his cup of ice cream and a message that (just maybe) Grandpa put him up to saying.

Grandpa has since become a legend, and his texts have gone viral.
