Dog Puts Paws On Bike, Then Refuses To Move. Everyone Is Confused Until They Realize…

When you think of a Doberman, Shepherd or Rottweiler, you generally think of one thing:

Guard dogs.

These animals are willing to put their lives on the line for their masters.

We’ll sometimes find them reclining innocently behind a Beware of the Dog sign, just waiting for their next victim…er, visitor.

A guard dog is usually very well-trained and regimented to do that one job and do it well.

But did you know some breeds are predisposed to be protective of their humans and property, and they do so without any special training whatsoever?

Like this dog in China who puts a new spin on the title “guard dog.” 

When his owner left him outside while he ducked into a shop, the dog jumped at the opportunity to prove his mettle.

He went to his person’s bike, sat beside it, then put his paws purposefully on the seat.

At first, people were a little confused…what exactly was this pup doing?

Then they realized he was protecting his master’s property, and doing so with great care and vigilance!

No one could question whether the bike had an owner. And no one would dare touch it while it was so well guarded.

And this loyal pooch didn’t just assume the position for a moment or two; he continued to sit there long enough that he attracted quite a crowd of admirers.

This was definitely his 15 minutes of fame as he sat there patiently while cameras snapped and video recorders hummed.

Someone likened the loyal dog to one of the concrete gargoyles that overlooked the street:

He sat there, still as stone, waiting for his owner’s return. He obviously took his job very seriously!

He kept an eye on passersby, but didn’t waver in his duty.

Only when our bike guard’s owner returned did the loyal canine take his paws off the bike. He greeted his owner warmly with tail wagging and whole body vibrating.

He was obviously waiting for his praise for having managed to thwart any would-be bike thieves with his advanced guarding methods.

Despite his clever guarding skill and celebratory dance moves upon being reunited with his owner, there was still more to come…

When the man mounted the bike and began to pedal away, the faithful pup wasn’t about to slack off; he was still every inch the protective friend.

What a very cool dog, and what a lucky guy to have a best friend like him around!
