Drowning Pup’s Epic Reaction After Being Saved Made Me Smile For Days

Ever do something nice for someone, and not have them thank you for your kind effort? It’s frustrating, isn’t it?

It’s SO much nicer when you know your actions have made someone happy!

And animals wear their emotions on their furry sleeves, so you can always count on them to tell you exactly how they feel…

In this video, we see the pure joy that comes after a poor frightened dog found himself stranded in the icy waters of a Romanian canal this week.

In the 2-minute clip, a terrified husky mix desperately tries to escape from the frigid Somesul Mic River in the city of Cluj located in the province of Transylvania.

It looks bad for a bit but luckily, two local fishermen heard the desperate cries of the terrified dog.

The dog tried to get out of the water, but the mossy edge was just too slippery. He struggled to stay above water until his rescuers arrived.

Some people might have just passed on by without trying to help.

But not these guys! They weren’t about to let the poor animal drown; not on their watch!

One man quickly descended the rocky cliff and entered the frigid water (note his bare feet)!

He grabbed the dog by the scruff of his neck and trudged through the water to safety.

His friend waited eagerly on the shore to help the dog up the hillside. And once everyone was out of the water and on dry land, the excitement really began.

The pooch’s amazing reaction showed the true meaning of canine gratitude to his rescuers. This is just beautiful!

A video of the rescue posted Tuesday by the Romanian news site Dejeanul.rom has gone viral, racking up nearly a million views in just a couple of days.

That’s because everyone likes to see a happy ending, of course.

And probably in the history of internet videos, there hasn’t ever been one that showed a more grateful dog!
