When He Tosses His Garbage In The Dumpster, He Spots Two Tiny Black Blobs…

Dumpster diving has become a popular hobby for a lot of people who enjoy finding treasures among the trash.

Indeed, one man’s trash really is another man’s treasure.

Some people go diving looking for something in particular, while others look for furniture that can be rehabbed.

But one San Diego man found something he certainly wasn’t expecting when he took out the trash from an Adrian Street business.

He went to toss his bag into the dumpster when he heard a strange rustling, then he thankfully decided to investigate.

He thought he’d find mice or some other small creatures rummaging about for food. But that’s not what it was at all!

No, he found two abandoned puppies in a cardboard box!

They were obviously newborns and someone had tossed them away like trash, which is both infuriating and heartbreaking.

The kind-hearted man immediately took the pups to a San Diego County animal shelter in Bonita; vets estimated the age of the puppies to be about 12 days old.

County officials are currently searching for the person who left the puppies to die in the dumpster, and they darn well should.

An animal cruelty or animal abuse conviction in their county could lead to three years in prison, a fine of up to $20,000 or both.

And, no matter what kind of fine the perpetrators are given, it won’t be enough.

“For someone to just throw away these two defenseless pups in such a callous manner and an almost certain death is unconscionable,” said County Animal Services Director Dan DeSousa.

Someone needs to come forward with information so we can hold whoever did this cruel act accountable.

The puppies, a male and a female, are believed to be some sort of spaniels. They appear to be in fairly good health, too.

They were certainly not old enough to be separated from their mother, and no animal should be chucked into a dumpster!

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that a rescue group has pulled the puppies from the shelter and is currently caring for them.

Once they are old enough, they will be put up for adoption…and who can resist these precious little lovelies?

Since they were found in a chip box, the female puppy has been named Frita, like Frito, and the male has been named Cheeto.

And we REALLY hope whoever tossed these puppies away like yesterday’s leftovers gets a little taste of something we like to call “karma.”

What kind of person could look into those eyes, and then walk away leaving them to die?

Thanks to everyone who stepped up and took over when someone else’s coldness and irresponsibility almost cost 2 precious little lives!
