Genius Dogs Wait Patiently For Owner To Leave So That The Insanity Can Begin

Ever heard the story of the elves that went to work and finished all the shoemaker’s work while he was gone?

The shoemaker was overjoyed when he came back to the shop and found what the elves had done, and the elves basked in the glow of the man’s appreciation.

If you’ve ever read that story, you can appreciate both the pleasure of doing something special for someone and the joy of surprise.

A family of dogs grew frustrated at waiting for their humans to decorate for the Christmas season. It was taking WAY too long.

So one morning they made a plan to take things into their own paws:

They stood by innocently and watched their humans as they got ready for work.

As soon as they were gone, the house bustled with activity.

The clever dogs sprang into action: rummaging through the cupboards, finding Christmas ornaments on the shelves, even rolling up the carpets to make space.

In an unbelievable display of agility and talent, the dogs set about turning their house into a winter wonderland.

Although they were almost a blur because they were moving so quickly, they still set about in an organized manner.

They took turns placing ornaments on the tree, and one of the brave pups even pulled out a ladder so he could reach the highest branches!

Can you imagine the look on the humans faces when they walked into the door and saw everything the busy four-legged elves had done?

Although we hate giving away the secret to their magic, this video was set up by the creative Mirror Method Performance Team, in order to spread festive cheer.

Sadly, most dogs in reality would probably make quite the mess if left alone with Christmas decorations! Can you imagine?

Even so, it’s just so amazing, isn’t it?

This awesome video was originally posted back in 2008 and since it first aired it has amassed over 15 million views.

It would appear that cute dogs and holiday festivities can turn a simple video into a timeless Christmas classic!
