The Moment Before This Helpless Animal Drowns In A Well A Rope Comes Flying Out Of Nowhere

Have you ever wondered why a pig in mud is as happy as, well, a pig in mud?

The popular consensus is that it is actually necessary for them to lead a quality life.

A good coating of nice clean mud can provide sun protection for a pig with tender skin.

It can also help an itchy pig with parasite removal.

And in all cases, it can help with a pig’s temperature regulation.

Pigs can overheat really quickly and being coated with a nice cooling mud bath can keep their temps quite a bit lower.

However, as much as pigs love mud and water, they aren’t good swimmers.

This has led to the demise of many a pig that got a little too close to the edge of a deep pool when searching for mud.

One little pig in India found out the hard way that pigs and deep water don’t mix:

When he tumbled in, it almost cost him his life.

He struggled valiantly to keep his little head above water, but he was quickly getting exhausted.

Thank goodness some kind soul saw him floundering helplessly and they called for help.

Within fifteen minutes, Rescuers from Animal Aid Unlimited arrived, but they were afraid they were too late…

The piglet was giving up right before their eyes!

The piglet was too exhausted to offer any kind of help in his rescue, so they knew it was all up to them.

So, they lowered one of their men down into the well on a rope.

He swam over to the piglet and lifted it out of the water so it could breathe without struggling.

The other rescuers then pulled the man back up with the piglet firmly clasped in his arms.

They drove back to the sanctuary where the piglet was warmed up and given food, which he greatly appreciated!

He seemed to bounce back fairly quickly. Well, after all, pigs are fairly resilient animals.

Nobody knows how long the piglet had been floundering as he fought to stay alive. They assume it was well over an hour.

But, no matter how long he’d been in there, what was obvious was that he wouldn’t have lasted much longer.

Whether it’s a piglet, a puppy, or any animal in between, Animal Aid believes that they all deserve to live!

Animal Aid has worked hard to rescue thousands of animals in India and has given them a permanent home at their sanctuary.
