Kitty Refuses To Be Separated From His Greatest Love – It’s Not An Animal, Human, Or Toy

Cats can be eccentric creatures.
And one adorable 5-year-old tabby named Ozzy is no exception.
On the surface, Ozzy is like most cats: he loves to cuddle and sleep, and he can be both playful and mischievous.
But in fact, he’s quite unique … he has a love that nobody can explain, but it might be the sweetest thing ever!
You see, Ozzy is in love.
But he’s not in love with a female kitty, or even his owner. No, Ozzy adores something else entirely, and it’s something you might enjoy eating on a warm summer day.
Any guesses…?
It’s peaches!
Yes, Ozzy the cat loves fuzzy, ripe peaches. He just can’t get enough of them, and he actually uses them in multiple ways.
Says Lydia Coutré, whose parents own Ozzy:
“He nuzzles them, uses them as a pillow to rest, or just stands over them guarding them.
“[He] was introduced to them the first peach season our family had him.
He found them on the table and immediately started rubbing on them the first time he was around them, so we think it’s probably the feeling of the peaches that he likes.”
Ozzy’s owners leave the peaches out to ripen on newspaper sheets, which is exactly where Ozzy wants that fruit.
He jumps up and nuzzles the fruits for hours on end. And if those peaches are unavailable, well there’s trouble:
“My mom once put the peaches in the basement to keep them away from Ozzy,” Coutré explained.
“But he still found them, and left a cat-sized hole in the middle of what were previously neat rows of peaches.”
Ozzy was adopted in the fall of 2013, mostly because Lydia begged her mom to take Ozzy home from the shelter.
It was love at first sight, as it so often is with pretty kitties!
And Ozzy really is a cuddly, normal cat … for the most part. He just happens to love peaches, and ONLY peaches.
“Ozzy hates clementines,” Coutré said.
“He smells them, makes a face, turns up his nose and runs away. Ozzy doesn’t cuddle any other fruit — just peaches.”
Here’s a cat that knows what he wants! 😀
