Pup Hears Ice Cream Truck Music And Takes Off Running For The ‘Sweetest’ Reason

Ah, the sweet memories of hearing the ice cream truck in the distance!

The nursery rhymes playing loudly to alert all of the kids to grab their change and wait by the curb for a sweet treat, the first taste of ice cream on the tongue…

Ice cream never tastes better than on a hot summer day, and after you get your cold yummy Popsicle or ice cream sandwich you’ve never felt happier.

Seriously, who doesn’t love ice cream?

And it’s not only humans who like ice cream. Someone, probably a millionaire by now, came up with the idea to make ice cream especially for pups!

This Staffordshire Terrier named Reggie may have been the inspiration behind the idea, too.

When the ice cream truck starts making its rounds in Reggie’s neighborhood his ears immediately perk up.

He looks up at his dad as if to ask, “Can I have an ice cream?”

He sits perfectly still trying to be a good boy; he doesn’t want to mess up at such an important moment!

When the ice cream truck pulls up to the house next door and the kids are running with money in hand, Reggie’s dad gives him the go ahead.

Reggie takes off like a rocket toward the ice cream truck. But it’s what he does next that melts the internet’s heart!

He goes to the window and sits in line waiting his turn, because he just loves to follow the rules.

The kids also waiting don’t seem a bit surprised to see him in line, so this must be a regular thing for Reggie.

Finally, the ice cream man reaches out and hands Reggie his ice cream, which he quickly snags and heads back to where his dad is waiting for him.

This is exactly what Reggie was waiting so patiently for and everyone around smiles when he gets his treat!
