Rescuers Creep Slowly Toward Hurt Stray – They Spot An Unimaginable Injury And Leap To Help

Rescuers find stray animals in all sorts of dire situations.

And sadly, many times, the scared creatures in question often suffer from a variety of injuries, both mental and physical.

But when Hope for Paws got a call about a pit bull-type pooch by the train tracks, they arrived to find what appeared to be a healthy dog.

He was frightened, of course, and they’d have to find a way to corner him if they wished to rescue him, but otherwise, the pup seemed okay.

That is, until they got close enough…

That’s when the team noticed a terrible injury and at first glance, it was bad enough to make everyone think the poor dog had been grazed by a train.

After all, he was near the train tracks and he boasted a nasty looking gash on her shoulder. Had the pup survived a close encounter with a train?

Well, there was no way of finding out, so the team set about bringing the injured pit bull in as safely as possible.

They managed to do so, but there were again shocked when they were able to examine the pup:

Hulk, as he was later named by the rescuers, ended up having a a broken jaw and shattered teeth, and torn muscles that needed immediate surgery.

After multiple surgeries to repair all the damage, Hulk was on the road to recover.

The guess was that Hulk was hit by a car and went to the tracks to hide.

Okay, so maybe it wasn’t a train but a car can still cause immense damage and obviously, poor Hulk had gotten nailed by something very large.

But Hulk was aptly named; he was able to recover from his injuries and now he’s “a sweet boy who loves to cuddle and go for walks.”

For the time being, Paw Prints in The Sand is fostering Hulk until they can find him a forever home with a loving family.

This is the sort of thing rescuers must deal with on a daily basis: the injuries some animals sustain are just beyond comprehension and without the help of these great organizations…

Well, we all know what will happen. Three cheers for Hope for Paws! 😀
