Elderly Woman Stuns Honest Robber By Giving Him A $100 Check And A Message…

When someone is headed down the wrong path in life, a little divine intervention can help set them straight.

The intervention can take on many different forms, but sometimes it’s as simple as a random act of kindness from a complete stranger that can amount to just the kick in the pants that’s needed.

That was the goal of 89-year-old Sylvia Robinson, who just so happened to come across a story about a young man that had made an incredibly poor choice.

Cameron McCormack, 19, had been charged with armed robbery after stealing $26 from a person that he had met online.

McCormack immediately fessed up when he was confronted by police, and it turned out his weapon of choice was nothing more than a pellet gun.

He explained to the cops that he had only robbed the victim because he was desperately trying to come up with his rent money.

Robinson was touched by the tale, and she was quite impressed with the fact that McCormack was being so honest about things.

As she saw it, this was a sign that there was some hope for him, and she decided to show him that there in fact was some out there.

And as she was a former pastor, she had spent a lifetime being compassionate and kind to people…so it was time to do it once again.

Immediately, the former pastor cut him a check for $100 and sent it off to him.

“I thought that maybe this kid just needs to know that somebody cares,” she said.

“Maybe he just needs a shot in the arm.”

Robinson believes that if the man in question realizes that he isn’t alone in this world, that people really do care about his plight, he’ll buckle down and set things right.

“We hope he won’t do it again because he knows there are people who care,” she said.

“I don’t know him, I just know he’s a young man who could use a little help.“

She’s not sure if the funds have reached the young man as of yet, but she’s hoping that her message inspires others to do more of the same when they encounter a similarly unfortunate situation.

The elderly woman might just be on to something, as signs of hope have a way of providing clarity for those who are working their way through some troubled times.

And if they succeed, they often look back on their lives and try to find the turning point.

That turning point might just involve a kindly stranger who reminded them that in fact, we’re all in this together!
