Kathryn Rescues Newborn Gray Mouse That Turns Out Not To Be A Mouse At All!

Kathryn van Beek went for a walk on a cold evening when she spotted a tiny gray ball of fur. It was crawling on the path and completely alone.

It was so small that she assumed it was a newborn mouse; its umbilical cord was still attached.

She couldn’t find a nest nearby and didn’t know if she should leave it or take it home and try to save it…

But what could she do?

Well, it wasn’t going to live long if left there on the pathway to fend for itself, so she cupped the little creature in the palm of her hand and took it home with her.

After getting the little guy dried off, she took a closer look and realized that it wasn’t a mouse at all – it was a newborn kitten!

She went through the neighborhood knocking on doors to try to find the owner of the mama cat who had given birth to return her kitten, but no one knew a thing.

So she rushed right home to care for the little kitten as best as she knew how.

Kathryn named him Bruce. She took care of him day and night, feeding him from a feeding syringe around the clock.

Her boss even let her work from home to take care of little Bruce!

Then one day, after lots of loving care, Bruce opened his gorgeous blue eyes and finally looked like a kitten; and he was stunning.

Just look at this face!

As he grew, he started getting black spots on his paws, ears, and face.

Then as he grew more he turned completely black! Even his eyes changed sparkling blue to emerald green.

Those changes happened due to a rare phenomenon called Fever Coat. It happens when the mother is under stress during pregnancy.

But what an amazing aesthetic result!

Bruce has since become an internet sensation and has his own Facebook page you should check out.
