Rescuers Hear A Pitiful Cry, Peeking Inside A Crawlspace, They Spot Two Desperate Eyes

Sometimes, all you have to do to become a hero is listen.

And when you hear sounds of distress, you spring into action!

Winston Young was hanging out with a friend outside of his house when he heard a distinct crying sound coming from a crawlspace.

Of course, just about anything could be trapped in a dark crawlspace, so the two approached with caution.

They got a little closer and thought they recognized the cries…they sounded very feline.

And sure enough, when they peered into the darkness, they realized it was a little kitten that was trapped inside!

Young and his friend knew they had to get the kitten out of there, but there was a problem:

They had no idea how to get it out of the tiny opening to the crawl space, which was about 8 to 10 feet deep.

But after putting their thinking caps on, they were able to come up with an impressive plan.

Thanks to some yarn, a rope, and a mesh netting bag, they were armed to the gills to conduct an impromptu – and impressive! – rescue mission.

They shined a light down into the space and dropped their contraption in, hoping for the best. Could their device really work?

Surprisingly, it didn’t take long at all. They were able to lift kitty to safety in just a few minutes!

Kitty was reunited with her mother, who just so happened to be taking a gander at what Young and his pal were up to.

She was probably hoping against hope they could rescue her baby.

Imagine how nervous she must’ve been!

Well, as soon as she was reunited with her lost kitten, Mom cleaned him off and gave him a drink.

And Young and his pal were undoubtedly congratulating themselves on a job well done.

Rescue mission accomplished!

But wait…a short time later, they realized their rescue efforts may have been for naught.

They noticed that mom turned around and brought three more kittens out of the crawl space.

Turns out she found a place that she liked just fine and did what she had to do!

All members of the feline family are said to be doing just fine.

Okay, so maybe mom’s choice of a safe hiding spot for her kittens was a little strange but hey, it all worked out. 😉
