Woman Thinks She’s About To Watch A Scary Movie, Then Her Boyfriend Shows Up On The Screen…

Most women know that men are definitely from Mars.

We get so used to them being their manly selves that sometimes when they show an emotional, romantic side it stuns us.

That’s certainly what happened to a woman in Liverpool recently, and now her life is changed forever.

She went to what she thought was going to be a scary movie with her boyfriend Ian Croll, but she was indeed stunned when the movie began and it wasn’t the one she’d been brought there to see.

Kayleigh had always described Ian as the “least romantic man in the world.” She can’t say that any more.

No, in fact, she might be dating the MOST romantic man in the world, and the entire world is in agreement after seeing what Ian did…

He’d decided to ask Kayleigh to marry him and he wanted to do it right.

And since he is a video editor at the ECHO it just made sense that he combine his love for video with his love for Kayleigh. So that’s what he did with the help of two of his best friends.

He surprised Kayleigh by creating a movie trailer and arranging for it to be projected on the big screen at Odeon’s Liverpool ONE movie theater.

Then he and Kayleigh went there on a date along with a few friends, supposedly because he’d gotten free tickets.

Instead of having her heart beat faster during the horror film she had expected to see, her heart behaved very differently when the film started to play.

She was surprised that Ian and his two best friends had left their group just before the film started, but then the show began and her breath was taken away.

The carefully crafted movie trailer portrayed Clay and his friends Anthony and Michael, supposedly running out of the cinema having forgotten to bring the ring.

On his journey to collect it he ran past several Liverpool landmarks, stopped off for a pint and even stopped to have a bite of food.

Finally he arrived at home where his dog Clay was waiting with the ring in his mouth. How cute!

The film then showed Ian running back to the cinema. At that point, in real life, Ian appeared in front of the screen on one knee.

As most big plans go, there was one small hitch: Kayleigh almost missed seeing the film.

Just as Ian and his friends were getting ready to make their excuse to leave so the film would fit the situation, Kayleigh decided she needed to use the restroom.

Things almost got ugly when Ian put his hand firmly on her shoulder and told her that, no, she couldn’t go right now.

She became quite annoyed and turned to one of her friends and said, “Why is he telling me that I can’t go to the toilet?”

Then the film began and her annoyance turned to delight as she realized the effort Ian, with the help of his friends, had put into making this a moment she would always remember.

Ian told the people at ECHO:

“Kayleigh was overwhelmed, she couldn’t speak and didn’t know what to say. We went for a drink afterwards and then I’d planned a surprise party with all the family.”

We assume that when she found her voice, Kayleigh said yes. Who wouldn’t agree to marry a man who cared enough to go to all that trouble for you?

At the surprise engagement party Ian played the video for Kayleigh’s family. As the saying goes, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Family members weren’t the only ones that shed tears while the video was playing. Ian and Kayleigh shared the video online where it’s been viewed over 60,000 times and shared hundreds of times.

BRIDES agrees that the way Ian went about the proposal is a classic, and calls a movie proposal “crazy romantic.” I think they’re right.
