But sometimes, they reveal a culprit that’s tough to condemn…

After all, should we really punish an adorable furry thief that simply steals a loaf of bread?

That’s what happened at a supermarket in Brazil: one day, there was a brazen robbery.

A sneaky four-legged friend slipped in the front entrance of the store, and then began to plot out his dastardly plan.

He waited for just the right moment and then, he snagged the bread and ran for the door!

It happened quickly and employees only spotted a furry flash out the corners of their eyes.

So, they checked the security camera and then they were able to identify the bread-snatcher…

It was a cute little pup!

And – POOF! – a poor pup that suffered through a terrible experience got another chance at happiness!

Animal lovers know dogs can suffer from intense negative emotions, just like humans.

Well, Hunter is a 6-year-old pup that was surrendered to the Houston Humane Society; the family didn’t want him because he wasn’t getting along with their new puppy.

So, they decided they didn’t want poor Hunter.

Of course, Hunter didn’t know what was going on until after his family left.

And when he realized what had happened … well, it was just heartbreaking.

Randi Bertholet has worked with the Humane Society for the past seven years, and she remembers first seeing Hunter at the shelter:

“When I walked up to the kennel, at first I didn’t even see a dog in there, until I looked in the corner. I saw him frozen in fear, trying to make himself invisible.

“I immediately sat on the floor, turned away from him, waiting for him to come to me. After a few minutes he cautiously approached me.“

At that point, Hunter let it all out: he realized he’d been abandoned, and that sadness was on full display:

“Ever wonder what a broken heart looks like? Well there you have it.“

Randi did what she could to comfort the depressed pup, and his ordeal definitely affected the long-time rescue volunteer:

“I was so heartbroken for him,” she said.

“I cried that night while laying in my warm bed with my dogs, thinking about him in there alone and scared.“

But some good came from that video of a heartbroken dog…

A whole lot of people saw it online and the adoption offers started pouring in! They’re really piling up!

It shouldn’t be long now before Hunter is with another family, and hopefully one that will never, ever abandon him.

Of all these adoption proposals, you have to assume that one is just perfect for this adorable pooch, right?

But this always remains a stark possibility in a lot of circumstances, as Randi says:

As it turns out, it was funny … but certainly not in the way he expected.

When at the beach, this dope spotted a dog wandering by the water.

For some reason, he decided he’d run up and try to kick it.

…humans can be such idiots sometimes.

So, he raced off over the sand and when he got close to the poor pooch, he prepared to unleash a vicious kick.

But it just didn’t work out that way.

First thing that happens, he slips backward and falls flat on his back. That alone is pretty funny.

But it’s what happens seconds later that has animal lovers all over the world laughing and applauding…

The instant the guy gets to his feet, a bunch of dogs comes out of nowhere and starts chasing him across the beach!

He must not have seen the pups, or maybe he didn’t think they’d defend their friend.

Either way, they came sprinting after him and he took off, desperate to get away … then he falls again, this time into the waves.

Doesn’t get much better than that, right!

It’s called karma, you moron! Don’t ever kick a dog, got it?

And one Nebraska woman certainly found three surprises at the bottom of a well near her property!

Morgan Brumm first heard the noises when she stepped outside her family home, and she recognized those sounds as animals in distress.

But where were they coming from?

Well, Morgan traced them to an old well in a nearby forested area, and when she looked inside, she gasped!

There was a baby deer trapped down there!

Actually, when she knelt down to get a closer look, she realized there were three fawns crying for help!

As she told The Dodo:

“…I peeked in a bit and only saw one head. I thought, ‘All right, I can do this.’ I took another step forward and saw three. I was blown away.”

She was indeed, but she couldn’t reach the bottom of the well. She needed assistance, so she quickly whipped out her phone.

She knew just who to call:

“I called my best friend’s dad to see if he could come down and help.

He came within five minutes, laid next to the well and pulled all three babies out.”

It took him just 30 seconds to extract all the deer, which is no small feat!

After all, you can expect the babies are scared and aren’t used to human hands, even if those hands are trying to help.

But this Good Samaritan took care of business quickly and the instant the fawns were free, they sprinted off to find their mama.

Morgan said she saw a female deer wandering around nearby so there very likely was a happy reunion!

Perhaps one day the family will come back Morgan’s way; she’d very much like to get a picture of them if she could.

But thankfully for the frightened pooch, dad’s indecision was only temporary.

It all started when Trovinger and his family got stuck in traffic on a bridge in Mobile, Alabama.

A massive accident meant they weren’t going anywhere for a while.

So why stay in the hot car and do nothing?

The Trovingers instead decided to get out with their pup (ironically named River) and walk around a bit.

Al clipped a leash onto River’s collar and everyone started to stretch their legs and get some fresh air. But in the next instant, the impossible happened:

River ripped free of her leash, jumped onto the low wall of the bridge, and leaped off!

For almost 10 minutes, the distraught family watched the poor dog struggle to stay afloat, hoping she might make it back to her shore on her own.

They couldn’t reach her; it was quite a long ways down, and it would be dangerous to jump in after her.

But as the minutes ticked by, Al realized that if he didn’t do something soon, they’d lose their beloved family pet.

And so…

In he went!

Without any concern for his own safety, the hero dad dove in after River and plummeted into the water! And at first, it seemed like a bad idea…

The problem was that River was panic-stricken and Al couldn’t get a very good grip on her.

Someone had a doggie vest and they tossed it down, but it was unfortunately not the right size for River. It had an upside, though:

The vest gave Al a little extra buoyancy and with that, he was able to secure River and move toward a nearby boat launch.

And there, paramedics were waiting to check dad and pooch, just to make sure nobody had sustained any injuries during their harrowing adventure.

Thankfully, both dad and pup were fine.

Dad wasn’t about to let the beloved family pet go without a fight, that’s for sure.

And that’s a dog lover for you!

While some owners can train their dogs to do any number of things, Chrissy Joy realized quickly that Beasley took to everyday household chores.

And especially those that benefit Chrissy’s new baby, Elowen.

Amazingly enough, Beasley – with only minimal instruction – is able to handle plenty of necessary babysitting duties.

The pup-turned-nanny can rock Elowen’s cradle, fetch necessities for Elowen, deposit dirty diapers in the bin, snag stuff out of the fridge, and even tuck tiny Elowen into bed!

What can’t Beasley do?

Well, take him outside and Beasley becomes a babysitter/playmate, as he gently pushes baby Elowen on the swings.

And every now and then, just to show his affection for his favorite undersize human, he’ll lick Elowen’s face as if to say, “I’m here for you!”

Chrissy Joy, a professional dog trainer, will tell you that not all dogs can do this, even smart ones.

Heck, I bet she was shocked Beasley’s hidden talents were centered on helping a mom get through her busy day!

A daring little raccoon decided he’d start climbing a skyscraper in St. Paul, Minnesota, and it proved to be a captivating performance for the entire city.

Everyone was just so fascinated with the adventurous creature, though many were concerned…

The higher he got, the more the danger rose. As the raccoon climbed, so did the anticipation and nerves of the city residents who watched with bated breath!

Many figured the poor guy wouldn’t make it. Eventually, he’d just lose his grip and plummet to an untimely demise.

But the climber wasn’t to be deterred!

And besides, he was able to rest at various floors in between when he got tired. In fact, this entire ordeal went on for days and days!

You might be wondering, “why doesn’t someone in the building just open a window and let him in?”

Well, that’s because none of the windows could be opened, so all anyone could do was wait and see if he could make it all the way to the top…

In advance of our intrepid hero’s ultimate ascent, the city’s safety department set out some live traps on the roof, so they’d be sure to snag him when he reached the summit.

And while this was happening, the hashtag “mprraccoon” started to circulate; the entire city, and eventually many people on the internet, were caught up in the event!

Amazingly enough, the raccoon DID make it to the top!

And he has since been safely captured and returned to the wild … where he won’t be tempted to scale any giant manmade structures any time soon.

You always know how they’re feeling and they’re never afraid of being emotional. That goes double when they’re excited and happy!

Take Bayla, for example. She lives a contented life with her loving family, and she adores everyone in the house.

Of course, not everyone in the family is always around, and pets feel the pain of separation just as keenly as humans.

So, when the two brothers in the home moved out, Bayla was clearly upset. She missed that part of the family the same way the human parents did.

Nowadays, she only gets to see the brothers rarely, whenever they have time to visit.

But those events are too few and far between for Bayla’s liking, which is why she often waits anxiously at the door if she senses they might be coming…

One day, Bayla was indeed waiting by the door but she wasn’t sure yet who might arrive … it was a mystery to the anxious pup until she finally spotted the guest.

Or in this case, guests! Yes, both brothers were coming home to visit!

And that’s when the joyous pooch went absolutely bonkers with glee. The video is just glorious.

She launched herself straight up toward the ceiling, leaping a good four feet in the air, just ecstatic that the family would be whole again!

Just ask 6-year-old Henrique Muraro.

His best friend is a lovable and extremely loyal little pup named Pipo, and their friendship is one that will endure forever. If you don’t believe that, just watch this:

Henrique is unfortunately handicapped and can’t move about easily; he needs a wheelchair to get around.

Obviously, this is very sad and hugely disappointing for a young boy, as they’re supposed to be running around outside. But Henrique’s doctor had an idea:

He suggested Henrique get a dog, which would encourage him to move around more and refine those ailing motor skills.

That’s when Pipo came into the courageous boy’s life and everything immediately got better. Said Rodrigo, Henrique’s older brother:

One day my father’s cousin brought over Pipo.

They became friends immediately and have been inseparable ever since. They spend all day together playing.“

The only time they must be separated is when Henrique goes to school. Poor Pipo must wait and wait … but when that bus pulls up, the joyful pooch races out to greet his favorite person in the world.

And it’s just the most adorable thing you’ll ever see.

Added Rodrigo:

“Pipo started doing this all on his own.

He would always follow when my mother took Henrique to the bus [to] go to school, and then one day he just started running inside the bus when he saw it arrive.

Now he does it every day.“

It’s a daily routine that both Pipo and Henrique just love, as you can clearly see in the video above. Pipo may not be a trained service dog but he’s doing wonders for his best buddy!

Rodrigo says his brother’s “motor skills have improved a lot” and of course, he’s “much happier” thanks to amazing little Pipo.

If that’s not the perfect friendship, I don’t know what is.
